Kashmir is and was pre-partition a majority muslim area. The head of kashmir was Hindu so joined India despite this. Meanwhile in Gujrat which was majority Hindu, the head despite being muslim allowed India to have Gujrat. So what you're saying is bullshit, in reality Kashmir should not be a part of India(should be either its own sovereign state or Pakistan). 1971 was a fucking civil war east and west pak.
