@dalekrueger i had a 92 f150 custom single cab 170k miles with a 5 speed maual and got a firm 20mg CITY! also had an 89 F250 single cab 5 speed manual with 187k miles and it got 23 mpg. i never should have let the 250 go. it could haul anything and was an awesome truck. the straight 6 is my absolute favorite motor. i have a bigass f150 now with a 351 and i'm lucky to hit 12mpg.

My 351 is a great engine, but these i300 seem to consistently last longer. Bullet proof motors.. unless you shoot them with a beowolf .50 or something.

i had one in a 83 4x4 it was a good motor didnt leak a drop.

also the the 300 is at peak tourque at 1600 rpm which is INSANE thats a hight idle for most engines today

i got a 1994 f-150 with a 300 six, 110,000 miles using 10w-30 cenex and lucas oil stablizer,it gets about 23 mpg, but it is a 5 speed with 2.73 gears,
