First start on a new engine; burning off the storage oil. When they are idling, it reminds me of the drums from Hot for Teacher. It's hard to hear in this video because the starting generator is running.

  • Whatever you do don't let a Turk fly it.

  • completeley normal start for a 215. if its the first start in the spring time it will smoke more due to the inhibiting oil in the cylinders beng burnt

  • if it burns 5 gal of oil every start, there is something wrong.... considering it operates at 26 gal. its normal for every start to smoke like that.

  • heh... as told to me by a CL-215 engineer: "if it doesn't burn off 5 gallons of oil every time it starts, there's something wrong."

    mmmmm smoky!

  • This was probably taken from someone who works at Perimeter?
