Siqueiros in L.A.

Mexican artist David Alfaro Siqueiros was one of the greatest muralists of the 20th century. Revolutionary in technique, content, and social comment, his work established Los Angeles as a key center for this public art form and started a movement that continues today. Produced by Legacy & Legend Productions, the world premiere of the exhibition "Siqueiros in Los Angeles: Censorship Defied" will be on view at the Autry National Center, Sep. 25, 2010 to Jan. 9, 2011 timed to coincide with Mexico's bicentennial celebration. The goal of the exhibition is to bring a renewed focus to the life and work of this renowned muralist and to explore his significance and legacy within the art of Los Angeles.
