YES THEY ARE,,, they now have school where the little girls may go, they have markets on there street, just because there still there now doesnt mean that the Afghan ppl are not free... we are there protecting there right so they can live a good life, to the best they can being where they are

@nevets1028 fight for freedom? are the afghans any more free today, after 10 years of war? They still live in fear, the AWOL rate in the afghan military is high, with a lot of them going to join the taliban. don't get me wrong, i respect our men in uniform, but i don't let that respect blind me from thinking critically about the war and what "fighting for freedom" means.

@cvp123d no, terrorists want to use enter your country so they can kill americans because my country doesn't maintain hundreds of military bases around the world, let its oil companies set up oil towns filled with foreigners, or have a lot of its leadership calling for more war with muslims. this is only our war because you stomp your feet and NATO has to step in line, but that wont be the case soon. America's a nation born out of violence, not good for a global leader.
