The Obama Office in Thornton (1/3 the size of the Springs) was four times as busy and as staffed. And this is the SPRINGS, the most conservative area in the state.
I did like that he didn't fire off platitudes and name calling, though. He just talked about and praised his staff.
Thanks for your comment, Badgerjohn27. As you note, Colorado Springs/El Paso County has a 2:1 ratio of registered GOP:Dems and this was on Election Day. Teams were dispatched from Victory HQ into the community while I was there. They seemed to have robust support for neighborhood canvassing, sign waving, etc.
I was very surprised to get to talk to Jeff Crank, since he is well-known in El Paso County. He is extremely knowledgeable about GOP politics in this area, and he was very gracious.
