so it's 54 years now... wow, i know those scientist/physicist ..

Wow, remarkable! Although this does ring similar to the story of Babel. I support the advancements of science, and when it comes to science... nobody understands it as well as CERN. However, when playing with the very fundamental elements that hold this universe together, one must ask... "If our world is we were the world who can we blame then?"

I'll be visiting CERN in a few days on a school trip. Finding out that they've just discovered evidence that there maybe a speed faster than that of light makes my level of excitement jump a few levels. I went from about a 1s to a 5f.

Is it just me or does the early days of CERN remind me of the old test chambers or Portal 2?

yeah ok i agree to some developments but you can compare the revolution of internet, cars , or biotech to CERN. some development have in there way the evolution of the world some may just have nothing. i don't say no to CERN i like the idea and i wish but i also like the reality...

money could be better spent on food? yes agree totally. more food to the masses so we can procreate and get plentiful and starve and ask for more food. thats it! more food yumyum! please leave the idea of being matters awareness manifestated alone. just a silly idea the hydrogen atom started some 13.8 billion yrs ago. stick to religion and consumerism for it has brought us so much joy! just look how swell we are doing at the moment! whoopie ! rock and roll and baby jebus wept people. imho.
