hahahaha! whipped cream and chocolate syrup! that's awesome! hey, if you can't handle fans throwing whipped cream and syrup at ya, DONT BE IN A BAND! that's rock n roll baby! the best part "well the sugar gets on the brass and eats the lacquer".... sigh, waaah. i also loved at the very end the guy in the orange shirt kicking the shit outta something onstage. ahh, the rage. our fans throw chairs at us, and that's a compliment.

I think it needs a text scroll in the beginning saying all that like Star Wars, haha.

One of the hazards of rock and roll.

Wow I have no idea why all those people were dirty and unhappy with each other. They all lookd like they would have gotten into a fistfight with each other if they had the energy. Was this real or an Andy Kaufman thing?

It was real. The full film would go on to provide more context. But essentially what happened is that several of the band's fans decided that it would be a good idea to attack the band with whipped cream and chocolate syrup near the end of the show.

The fans had every reason to expect that the band would find this funny and take it all in good humor, except (1) they neglected to tell the band about it in advance and (2) they didn't think about the fact that this would get sticky goo all over the band's expensive instruments and equipment. So combined with an underlying tension between members of the band, and the fact that it was their "last show ever," the band members were rather pissed off.

However, to me, it isn't really about them being pissed off as it's about the intensity of the band project and the way it affected the lives of the people involved in it. Perhaps they took themselves too seriously, and perhaps this was all apropos for the band's final moment.
