some things i would like to mention:
1. 100% of your loan goes to the person of your choice
2. kiva loans are just like any other loan, which means there is a chance it may not be paid back (but you were going to donate it anyway!)
3. the loan company does charge interest, many are upset about this but they have to realize it takes a lot of labor to get the money to people in underdeveloped countries. (maybe i'll make a vid explaining this later...good idea? yes? no?)

Kiva is a scam. They take donations at zero interest and loan it to for-profit finance companies that lend it out for 35% interest.

Fuck that.

@DSXmachine you're right, our donations are being loaned out with interest. kiva has never denied that fact. their website clearly explains it. (youtube will not let me post a link so you will have to go look it up.) but basically, microcredit loans are very difficulty to maintain. companies need to generate funds to pay its employees, transaction costs, and to expand to other areas.
