this is an unusual one for me (directing people)
further down is the text & essentialy the story board
(5 mins in notepad to write it)

Location:
Liverpool, "Bootle Strand" car park
sunday 11th march 2007
Concept:
watcher & immortal, information exchange
Specs:
the ONLY audio recoarded (on set)
was the talking "out side" the car
(because the car park is next to bus depot)
the main dialog was recoarded in a little car at croxteth park
(but the footage you see "inside the car")
is in a multi the story car park
the cars sound fx were ALL custom made for the scene
as was the watcher database & cell tracking graphics
and other ambient fx
(car park background noise was stretched to fill external scene)
onscren text was done in vegas (as was all the editing)
text noise fx was from "the sorce" :)
mark will overlay the apropriate music to finalize
reflecting on it:
the idea of Rogue Warrior is for those who wish to forget duncan killed connor in highlander 4
(and we'll explain why hes not in highlander 5) lol
i think the car door sounds (for the watcher)
sound awsome for a post edit (as does marks)
the background noise on the external dialog shots was unavoidable due to the enviroment, i liked the opening scene feeling dark and moody, the acting could be improved
the scene still needs music and tweeking for the final edit
a five min idea in notepad created a 6 min scene lol
most memrable moments:
you hear marks car start (it did'nt)
we actualy had to push it to get it going ROFL
it was ment to start right after he said "ok were done"
when ste said its an honnor, mark said "ok lad" lol
i used the "keep it rollin" from a blooper were i was about to stop the camra, blooper ? theirs loads, maybe one of us will add them LOL
so heres the 5 min text file
(cheep story board so mark and ste had a rough idea of what i wanted before we got their) there are slight changes and improvisations on location that reflect diffently to the text
Stage Direction:
marks sitting in car waiting for the watcher,
usual pans around car park
and maybe an external car park shot looking up
"to represent hes parked IN THEIR on a high level"
shot of steves car entering the car park
all fx 100% post edit (even the hand break and keys) LOL
as the car pulls in the parking space
(behind marks car)
you get a few mirror shots (marks car perspective)
maybe shot of steve taking lap top from passenger seet inbetween marks waiting & watching
then a ground shot of steves car door opening (with hand on door)
foot steps out follow'd by half body shot (floor upwards)
showing lap top under arm (no watcher tatoo though.. pitty)
{ye dont see steves face properly until he's sitting in the car}
more mysterios and dark this way
(also make the fans wonder, no walking stick ? so is that methos or what ?)
"steve" knock on window, "mark" leans over and pulls door handel
watcher gets in, "external shots as he gets in"
Script:cam on stes face then marks face mix n match views
Steve- joe sent me
mark- have you got the information ?
steve- i like that, straight to the point
(open lap top, powers up like end game)
steve- your hunting for connors killer ?
mark- yes
steve- joe said you should watch your head because your prity out matched
mark- sounds familiar
steve- no realy you are, you should see his stats, you've taken (how many heads) beep beep show the kills ratio
mark- like i told joe and adam last time, i dont keep score i just try to survive from day to day
steve- well connors killers stats are in the thousands "beep beep"
steve- possibly the highest we have on recoard
mark- so thats his killer ? were is he ?
steve- we have a watcher oh him.. said hes in scotland, looking for you before you find him i guess
mark- ok i think were done "mark starts the car"
steve- o.. erm right
"steve scuffels to get the lap top shut and open the door
(maybe waffel something like it was an honour to meet you) or what ever
as hes half way back to his car, mark steps out and says"
mark- why did'nt joe send adam
steven- adam ? o you mean peirson ?
mark- yes
steve- hes been transferd from the methos chronicles and hes compiling information on the sorce
mark- (shrug it off like a whatever and say) the sorce is just a legend
steve- so was canwolf
mark- kinda laugh "if ye can"
steve- and as for ariman and a dark quickning the watchers wont rule anything out
mark- "look of confusion & and a maybe kinda/maybe expresion"
steve- (hand on his car door handel) opens door and says
steve- good luck (short pause) duncan macleod (pause then as hes half way in his car)
steve- of the clan macleod,
door shuts car starts moves away
then a kinda wide round pan then you get in and leave
kick a$$ foooockin scene for us noobies.....PMSL

sadly i dont star in this scene, i just wrote, filed & directed
sadly this was also the first real dialog scene within the movie, so its 50/50 on nafability LOL

ye got to love the way he says
"so were is he"
and looks right at the camra LOL
its marks 1st movie & this was actualy the 1st real scene as in scene, all the rest of the earlier scenes were wing'd on the spot, this was 1st time trying to do it (to a script) 2nd RW movie is looking much better, should show up on a search under
Rogue Warrior 2
RW 2 is on marks tube acount, not mine, mines just got snipits & the RWF, wich is a working combination of both films into 1 (god elp me) LOL
