Nursing Duality: Procedure & Passion

The nurse checks vitals, pulse, and heart.
The nurse smiles warm, an angel in part.

The nurse brings meals, she changes sheets.
The nurse is a savior the patient meets.

The nurse is there to assist with pain.
The nurse is a pleasant, needed refrain.

The nurse helps doctors perform their work.
The nurse is there to lessen the hurt.

The nurse has paperwork, and facts to weigh.
The nurse brings joy to each new day.

The nurse checks x-rays, writes down notes.
The nurse is a beacon of absolute hope.

The nurse has duties, tasks, and charts.
The nurse brings comfort, brightening hearts.
