@filestreet -- From the Federal Reserve's Survey of Consumer Finances and the Internal Revenue Service, in 2004. The figures have changed since then.

@leearnold would you say that your video is still accurate, then? I've been seeing people use CBO figures to say that the bush tax cuts actually helped poor/middle class people more than the rich. I don't particularly believe that, but I was wondering how best to combat it

@filestreet -- That is the narrow argument that the poor got a rate cut, the rich got a rate increase. But -- (1) Rich incomes pulled higher, so they pay LESS SHARE of total after-tax income than before. (2) The tax cuts did not deliver the promise of more domestic jobs than otherwise. (3) The higher deficits were used immediately in another claim that Social Security is bankrupt, implying taxes to be raised on the poor. (4) The larger Treasury debt redistributes upward, by interest payments.
