Mind-blowing stuff. Ireland got a good cricket team, only if they could be funded and supported well by ICC, they could really become a competitive team  against all the biggies. That day still makes me sad, but I am happy for Ireland.

further shows how idiotic the ICC's decision is that from 2015, World Cups will only have 10 teams instead of the current 14. What happens to the developing cricket nations like Ireland, Canada, Holland etc if they are excluded from playing at the top level? hard to think of another sporting organisation that has such insipid administration as that of the ICC.

@melglen1 Bangladesh ranks NO 9 in ODI's Zimbabwe 10 and Ireland 11.They are no.9 in tests and Zimbabwe is currently unranked because they played too little matches after returning to test cricket.Actually why should a team be replaced to give test membership to Ireland.Noone was replaced while Bangladesh and Zimbabwe got it.Why they just can't be a 11th full member?
