See Kim in the Met;s new production of Les Contes d'Hoffman - she stole the show from Anna Netrebko. Simply stunning. Unfortunately the video is still photography. In addition to her singing, her acting was supurb and of course the great director, Barlett Shar had something to do wi/ this great success. Search on Utube: Olympia Kathleen Kim 12/11/2009 if you've not seen it.

Kathleen Kim was highly successful and captivating in her performance, further evidence that C.C. Opera can attract quality singers even with its relatively isolated location and limited budget. Only one voice in a major role was weak and disappointing. C.C. Opera's success with Baroque opera stands in stark contrast to (bluntly said) musical disasters in two other Colorado performances. Producing Baroque opera is especially difficult but much appreciated when you are able to do so.
