An excerpt from Don Pasquale recording made in the late 50s with some of the greatest romanian singers of that period: Serban Tassian, Silviu Gurau, Iolanda Marculescu and Mihail Stirbei. Iolanda Marculescu (1923-1992) sang on the National Opera Stage after WWII till 1969 when she left to USA. She was a great Gilda, Norina, Lucia, Rosina or Lakme, mainly coloratura roles. She was also a singing teacher, soprano Georgeta Stoleriu beeing one of her pupils.
