My thick hair takes about an hour to twist, too. It was very tiring at first and taking breaks prolonged it. Do you subscribe to RusticBeauty? She shares her method of doing a 2-strand twist by dampening the hair with plain water and applying a little bit of shea on the individual sections before twisting the 2 strands all the way to the end. Damp hair just gives you better results. Or maybe you've subscribed to Kimmaytube. I see evidence of her method of oiling your hands before untwisting.
