This is a very basic and broad overview of what to think about before deciding to join the military. In later videos I will give you more tips on how to make it through boot camp. I will also tell you what to expect when you are there. Good links include:

  • not to be nasty or anything...im going to be serious......how is it like for women and there menstrual cycle ...do the officers give you so slack or do they just don't care

  • @mizladiilushusz I have posted info on my 9th or 10th vid about this but to be honest, although sometimes it seems that they don't care they just want to get what needs to be done, done. In my div, we all bought pads/tampons...put it in the bathroom and everyone took one when it was their turn.

  • do u think this applies to becoming a correctional officer?

  • @copnite12342 I couldn't answer that. But you really do get a lot of experiences in the military that help towards life, careers, etc.

  • @s4andy63 Thanks, You know I wondered the same thing. I asked and asked but they never gave me a straight answer. It kind of wasted my time but I was actually glad that I got to experience that...so it wasn't too bad. Yes, all kinds of tests. Just stay positive. Good luck to him, I'm sure he will be fine. Sorry I don't get on here much but will have to start because I have a lot of comments. :)

  • @andreacruz0792 Well the best thing that I can say is to keep your head up and stay positive. Remember this is your future. Just ask yourself: Am I going to let nervousness stand in the way?

Here is some advice...I PROMISE you, you will not be the only one who will be nervous or have some kind of weakness (examples: run, swim, etc...). You WILL make mistakes, everyone does. The biggest suggestion that I can make is to stay away from the RDC's. Keep clear from them so they don't focus on you.

  • @iluvmcdreamy93 Well you have women in one compartment and men in the other. 1 Chief and 2 Petty Officers are in charge of the women and 1 c/2 p.o. are in charge of the men. They sometimes switch though...so you have to respect them all.

  • @f4roxmysox Sure, thanks!

  • @alwayssmiling62 I am sorry to hear that. Why didn't the Navy discover that you were Pre-Diabetic when you went to MEPS? Did they run different tests on you? I am asking this question because my son just left for Great Lakes, IL. He wants to be in the Navy more than anything, and I would feel so bad if they found something wrong with him after all he went through to get in.

  • @alwayssmiling62 I am sorry to hear that. How did they discover that you are pre-diabetic?
