Climate models based on purely natural processes such as solar activity and volcanic eruptions fail to explain the observed change in Earth's climate in the latter part of the 20th century. Models factoring in the human impact, that is, the increase of carbon dioxide in the athmosphere, depict the transpired warming accurately, however.

Furthermore, more recent studies have shown that 97% of the most published climate scientists and researchers say that man is causing global warming. You cannot seriously be suggesting that all of these scientists all over the world are embroiled in a conspiracy to pervert their scientific findings and deceive the public?

Such a wild accusation demands some serious evidence.

The special interests reside in the denialist movement - the likes of the Koch Bros (big oil) Heartland Foundation (ultra conservatives) are responsible for funding denialist campaigns.

The Koch Brothers in particular funded Berkeley Earth because the scientist behind it was a skeptic and thought his study would show the flaws in the ClimateGate research. It back fired when they found the very same results.

There are plenty of academic scientists tho that aren't corporate owned.

Well firstly, it doesn't matter how many PhDs sign up saying there's no global warming unless they are climate PhDs. Otherwise it's like someone with a PhD in philosophy giving an opinion on atomic theory - it is worthless. Only a tiny fraction of the signees have climate related training, only a handful work in climate research. Also, that was 15 years ago - the evidence has grown since then, quite substantially.

Your terminology - 'denialist' marks you out as a likely 'Watermelon' a la James Delingpole. The true community of disinterested scientists hardly exists now - it has become a prey to special interests, notably in medicine, psychiatry and biology (dominated by the pharmaceutical industry), agriculture (dominated by the likes of Monsanto) and as well as climate science. We don't hear much from your kind about the horrors of, for example, depleted uranium weapons, do we?
