Walthers Great Northern Empire Builder

More info at http://www.rcgrabbag.com. After tracking down a complete set of the long-out-of-prodution Walthers Proto 2000 Empire Builder, I had to give it a run on the Logan Southern MRR club layout. Unfortunately, the Budd Great Dome car with its three-axle trucks was having problems negotiating some spots, so it's omitted from the otherwise complete 16-car consist.

If you remove the center axle (wheelset) from the trucks on the Great Dome, it may work for you and no one will notice. I did this on mine and it fixed the problem. Works on other

walthers 6 wheel set cars also.

@1chefrick Heh, I thought about doing that too! Some other members get their three-axle trucks to traverse, so I need do a bit of tweaking. But, I can always fall back on removing the middle axle.

@rcgrabbag Let me know how your tweaking works out, I had the same problem with my BN Full Dome and took the middle wheels out to temporarily get it to run.

Wow, you lucked out finding that set. I spend 2 years just tracking down the empire builder observation car for a rainbow set O.o; You must have way more patience than myself. Awesome set.
