The Australian government's plan to censor the Internet will just be a waste of money. This video shows how easily ordinary users could circumvent the filter in seconds.
Unfortunately with some recent bills passed, the gov can look in your pc via your IP anytime, without your consent. You'll never be free as long as you're not your own ISP. Even then you have the gov barking up your ass.
Then say hello to SSH tunnels and VPN connections to the USA. Simple really, lots of people have already developed ideas in which the government cannot block your access with out breaking the laws that they enforce. You cannot decrypt encrypted content, unless you are the intended recipient, and the government wont be, when you have a VPN to the USA, so they cant look inside it...
This is just like school, everyone went around the filter using proxies but the IT people just blocked the proxies... do you really think the government would be unaware of proxies??
