  • Oh god - I just realised you look a lot like Jimmy Wales. You know, Jimmy "a personal appeal" Wales. :)

  • @BelgianGeneral I suppose I do, a bit. Still, at least you didn't say Hugh Laurie.

  • I suspect Nerdfighteria would love these series of videos. I might just post this on Your Pants.

  • @Royalemperorblue Thanks, please do.

  • Is the reason I don't understand this video at all that I'm completely drunk or because it is very strange?

  • @ASaxonAtHeart I was going to answer the former, and yet you are sober enough to type.

As I would see it, geekishness (I love making up words) is a passion for a certain subject coupled with a frighteningly detailed knowledge of the same subject.

  • I believe that Swing Dancing originated in the US during the 1920s and that Swing Dancing should not be attributed to any ancient tribe of "geeks" (not heard of them, but I don't know much about the tribes before the Dark Ages sadly).

Though I guess it is possible that the Swing Dancing that we seem to think originated from the US could have indeed been simply a revival of an ancient dance from the Geeks, I would assume it would be a worship dance to their god whom I assume is still Steve Jobs.

  • I like that quote "Can you define 'geek'?". I'm a geek, I loves my video games, card games, internet, history and cartoons, however, I have regularly made representative rugby league and union teams and fought in both kickboxing and full contact kyokushin tournaments. A healthy, fit, athletic, somewhat pugalistic...geek. Drop all the sports and I'd probably be a nerd.

  • Bloody Brilliant!

  • @Roflcopter4b Not me. I'm an erudite jock.

  • Another amazing video - thank you :)

  • Looks like really sophisticated and cool fun time with interesting people... to bad I cannot dance... ^^

  • Wait... lindy hop. You like the colo(u)r beige. Lindybeige. I learned something today.
