True, the facts presented in the video really serve no purpose other than to emphasize the context. They're not things that are shocking or really suggestive of anything other than the title "Shift Happens". In any case, I agree with you for the most part, in that the video suggests one thing only and is not to be taken out of context.
Also, yeah, I'm not surprised by the plethora of jobs people are expected to have. Sounds about right to me.

I don't know dude this video is pretty mis-leading; someone less informed could easily walk around quoting these so called, 'facts', and make a fool of themselves. "The US Department of labor estimates that today's learning will have 10 - 14 jobs by the time their 38". Seriously? Is that supposed to be, 'shocking', ? I think everyone I know between 16 - 22 has worked about 8-9 jobs all-ready. Maybe I mis-interpret the cultural difference and being lazy and living off your parents is more common?

The point is that "shift happens". It's saying "Hey, look at what Great Britain was just over 100 years ago. Look at how things have changed. How will things look 100 years from NOW?" Shift happens, that's the whole point, and we have to recognize that and be prepared for it.

How is that even relevant to the opening information on babies in India China and the USA. Its like a random stab at the Brits...
