oh wow I remember that, the channel will end for the night and you would get teletext. I recall falling asleep to teletext music quite a few times staying up late :D. now you just get 'service off air' ;/.

@devongasman circa=circulating, around a time. In this example this avdert was (circa) around in the 1990's

I reememmber this voice, and seeing this clock ident when I was over there first time in '90! hehee ~ The British Open Golf tournament was on then, in Warwickshire~would it've been?~ I think! :)

I wish TV Channels would closedown like they used to when I was a kid.
You always had that feeling of mischieviousness (sp?) and naughtiness if you was up at that late hour and watched a channel like Channel 4 closedown.
At least that what I used to think!
