I recorded this midi file some time ago - I transcribed the song from a Michelle Petrucciani CD. This video is the midi file converted to notation (using PG Music's 'Power Tracks Pro Audio' software). I have added quite a few comments to the video and I have also added a leadsheet that scrolls as the song plays to play along!
He recorded it a number of times - several times solo, and at least once with the composer Eddie Louiss - usually as a samba. The backing that I recorded, especially the bass line, is more in the loose jazz-salsa mould.
The video and midi file can be downloaded from my website at http://www.bushgrafts.com
On my DVD -
http://www.bushgrafts.com/jazz/DVDbuy.htm
is also an MP3 of the backing track, a printable copy of the notation, and also a printable copy of the leadsheet.

Doug, really appreciate your job.
this video means the future of jazz education,. it's really easier look between the bars, the structure of the phrases and the complete explain about the scales over the chords.
im a jazz student from venezuela ,land of very good musicians and teachers as well, but we need to learn how use this tool for our music notation and the sharing of our music.
thanks
sorry about my terrible english

Great!
Is this a tutorial or a masterpiece? Are your tutorials perfectly camouflaged pieces of art in themselves? I don't know. Maybe Beethoven too wrote down his 9th just as an arrangement tutorial. Who knows.

Great, as usual Doug. I like your few interspersed "tremolo" block chords in the RH.
