Now I know it can seem very difficult to put on weight at times, but I want to assure you that not only is it possible but you can actually do it very quickly. We're going to see some of the challenges that you're are facing and how we can overcome them now and today.

Press play and watch the video, and start applying these easy to follow tips now.

Video Breakdown

0:23
Discussion Topics for lack of weight gain
-Not eating Enough // How we can solve this problem
-Your workouts //

1:14 Not eating enough

OK, the best advice that I can truly give you is that you need to eat more then what you are currently. Now, I don't want to hear,"but I eat so much Mike that it's crazy, Mike you don't understand". The truth of the matter is that you still need to eat more. Your body burns everything in your system so there is usually nothing left to grab on to. You need to make sure your body has something to grab on to.

2:03 Tip #1 // Start eating your favorite foods.

I know they might not be healthy, but I just want you to develop the habit of always putting something in your mouth. Now, once you develop that habit while doing this then you must switch over to getting all of your calories, and nutrients from REAL good foods.

4:07 Tip #2 // Eat dessert

Best time to do so is actually during post workout. The goal is to put on weight and not worry about eating right during your gain phase. when you have finally reached a weight where you feel you are too big. Then cut down a bit on the dessert at that time.

5:34 Tip #3 // Set an alarm for eating

This will create an habit of constant eating. Eat even if your not hungry, the more you eat the bigger you get. But if you get too big, you have reached your goal.

7:56 Tip #4 // Workout!

Also you need to be hitting the gym while consuming all of these calorie. If you don't you will gain mostly fat.

-Train 4 times a week, don't worry about working out everyday. The reason is that your body probably has a very high metabolism so training everyday might not be needed right now.

-Make sure you train Heavy and do compound movements. Compound movement are exercises that uses 2 or more large muscle groups. The reason for his is that it will force the body to create mainly muscles with the extra amount of calories you are consuming.

Make sure you follow these Tips, Now go eat and put that muscle on.

One question i do have, i was super sore when i first started working out again, and now, though i am sore and tender should i still feel as sore as i did when i first started or is that just because my muscles weren't used to it as much. That, and when i first started, i was sore for days, now the soreness is gone by the next day. Is that to be expected, or should i work my muscle harder? Don't get me wrong, i'm giving it my all and can barely do 4 sets at max. Any info would be appreciated.

I regret not taking a picture of myself before i started a week ago, because it's incredible the results i've seen thus far. I'm sure it will slow some as i'm gaining back muscle that i once had, but on the other hand i can see i'm bigger than i ever was. And as i said, i get fast results, i always have. This time i am noticing more results due to the change of workout and diet. I am a mesomorph with a high metabolism, so i have to eat a lot, and i mean a lot. It has paid off. Not for everyone.

I always used my bowflex, but not until a week or so ago when i searched youtube for tips and came across his videos, did i learn how to gain muscle. I was working out like a already big guy. I then learned about finding a weight you can just do 8 reps of and which workouts to do, i have since switched to free weights to work stabilizing muscles. For the first time, i am bulking up. The bowflex i use for leg workouts. It is more for people trying to tone or lose weight.

The thing is, if skinny guys want to bulk up, they have to put on weight. It's just, they need to be turning the weight into muscle before it turns to fat. I have to be careful because any fat i gain will go straight to my gut and no where else. I have tried bulking up many times with dedication and i got a little bigger and stronger, but not so much bulk. I gain muscle fast, but i would always peak. Whether it be the ton of eating with weight gainer or the heavy 8 rep sets, it's working!

Well i'm new to this. I worked worked out many times with results, but not bulking like i wanted. I'm not ectomorph, but i do have a hard time putting on weight. I'm 5'10 140lbs, i'm not super skinny by any means, i have a decent muscle mass, and look athletically fit, i just have a small frame so it makes me look smaller than i am, the last week i have used his advise along with heavy 8 rep sets and it has worked great. I've lost some muscle over the last year, i gained that back and more quick

I think the title of the video should be "How to gain weight" because if you're trying to gain muscle, you should most definitely not eat what ever you want. But I agree, to gain muscle, sleep o' plenty and rest well.
