@BDodsonVR6 He did do a motor swap, and just so you know, the MK3 also came with a 2.0 16v motor in europe, and the 1.9 TDI is available in the usa/europe aswell.

unless he did a motor swap then its not a 1.8t mk3's are only available in the 8v 2.0 and the 12 valve 2.8 DOHC VR6
