  • The song has a dream like quality about it at the same time it evokes feelings of loneliness.

  • Pedal steel is BJ Cole - definitely!

  • Definitely the other sax player is Tim Berne, the guy that said that is correct - I think that possibly the lap steel player is Greg Leiz, but I'm not sure. I LOVED this show and it's great you can find episodes on here, if you don't own TubeSock buy it for %15 online and yuo can save these to your iTunes video.

  • Is it Tim Berne right from Sanborn?

  • To be sure, for mine own liking this treatment of the song is far too busy, too many aural elements acting as soundscapes. Shawn Colvin seems a musician to invest in (please forgive my ignorance on this), I'd have liked to see her and Richard play this acoustically...I think such a setting would be exquisite. Of course, it need not be overstated that the other musicians are high calibre, too.

  • Cale has played the song this way for many, many years - always a showstopper! Nice to see these great musicians taking it even further.

  • I love to find the mp3. It is q hauntly beautiful rendition of the classic.

  • BJ Cole on steel?

  • Nice!, i have this on MP3 but not on video, thnx for the video post! Whos the saxophonist next to Sanborn?
