  • Hi,I have one question....I know you have ridden in the rf-1100 and the x-11 before, don't know if you had the chance to do that in the x-12,but i am interested....which is the most quiet? it is a really important aspect for me. if you haven't tried the x-12 yet, please compare the x-11 to the rf-1100 in the "silence" category. Thanks! Good luck!

  • @taticule I ride with ear plugs and I find both the X-12 and RF-1100 to be very acceptable considering the air flow they offer. Now if you want a quiet Shoei that offers good ventilation go for the new Qwest, crazy quiet IMO

  • What does being a Japanese company have to do with it being a truthful claim?

  • @CitizenDetroit Simple the Japanese are known for being very cautious with the claims they make etc...

  • Great review, but in all honesty how can you review something that you haven't used yet?

  • In the reviews we have up I mention the fact I have not yet ridden in this helmet. That will be on the top of my list next visit to the track. These reviews focus on the technology and the quality. We will update this early next season.

Each time I ride I take 6 different helmets with me to compare and ride in. The X-12 will be in the rotation next year for sure. Stay tuned!

  • @Sportbiketrackgear would you say that the new shoei qwest is more quiet than the shark RSR2? in fact, what i want to know...what helmet did you use that was the best in this category? (and with at least acceptable ventilation,of course) thank you very much, really apreciate the fact that you answered

  • @anditslikethat I do live in Texas and I'll take all the venting I can get in the summer!

  • @buckwheat40 Even if it doesn't, who cares? Better styling, better shield, better liner, oops it doesn't vent as well as the old one, guess I'll pass. Yeah right. In my opinion the X11 had too MUCH venting, unless you live in Texas or something. Sucker was like having an ice cube hitting your forehead.

  • @psychoclownboy Who cares, these dudes make the best video reviews on the web, so cut them some slack. This is one of the most anticipated new helmets in years, so they obviously wanted to get a review out as quickly as possible.

  • OK So I just went from riding a Suomy SPEC 1R, AGV Ti-TECH, and a SHOEI X-11....To riding this helmet the X12 at the WERA event at VIR this past weekend

This Helmet Hands down pisses all over those helmets THE VENTS WORK period the airflow was great No doubt, as far as comfort and feel the liner is smoother than any of my old lids and the best part about this helmet is how it cuts threw the wind no buffeting or vibration at race speed what so ever I drank the coolaid im sold worth every penny

  • Hope it doesn't hurt the forehead like the X11 does. I also hope the liner is smoother, because the X11's line was way too rough compared to Arai or AGV.
