  • I first saw this little film when I was about the same age as the kid in the film. I love everything about this film, except I don't think that dog makes a very good seeing-eye dog, taking that old man in the middle of the street.

  • @monoceros1222: Miracle?

  • ...and 40 years later, this makes me cry again!

  • I saw this video on the Children's Film Festival when I was a small child, I remember feeling sad that the kid lost his dog to the blind guy. And by the way, why is the blind guy and the dog walking down the middle of the street toward the end??

  • Wow that's a very special little short film with a wonderful message! Reminds me of the one with the boy and his big red balloon, also a french production. Very touching and powerful!

The message of this film is that this boy sees that the old blind man needs Clown more than he does so he lets the man have the dog. The boy is thinking about the man's needs over his own. It's a message of generosity and anti-selfishness.

  • @ausart Same here. The worst thing about this, a year after I saw this for the first time, not only did my teacher put me and my classmates through the agony of watching it again, she even made us watch it the next day!

  • so am i I'm crying like crazy ! this is too heart breaking but it brings back memories

  • oh yeah i feel ya really i'm starting to cry wow what memories

  • would anyone know the history of this film?..the actor or producer? i used to live in france for many years and no one ever could remember it.

  • All sentimentality aside, can we really believe that Clown transformed himself overnight from a mangy mutt into a trained Guide Dog for the blind??
