Check out the video to "Superpill"!
Road dogs that've toured with everyone from the Mooney Suzuki and D4 to The Supersuckers, The Forty-Fives are serious contenders for best live band on the rock-n-roll/garage scene. Between tours, the band went into Detroit's Ghetto Recorders studio with The Dirtbombs Jim Diamond (the White Stripes, Andre Williams, the Sights) to record their new full-length, "High Life High Volume". The title says it all. This is an album that references The Forty-Fives' formative influences: early rock-n-roll including Kinks and Stones-era hooks coupled with the explosive live delivery of The Who and the MC5. Not content to rest on their garage-rock laurels, "High Life High Volume" features the band's most dynamic batch of originals to date.
A rockin garage punk song, Never heard of Superpill before. I will keep up with ya now. I like anyone else is a sucker for good music. By the way, a really good upbeat production on the making of the vid.
