Installing Windows XP is yet easy to do. Windows XP will no longer be supported in 2014. Many people want to stay with XP. Windows 7 is released.

Minimum Requirements:
*233 MHz CPU
*64 MB of RAM
*2 MB of video memory

Requirements for optimized performance:
*1 GHz or better
*512 MB of RAM or more
*64 MB of video memory or more w/ Direct X 9

hi, i bought a new windows xp upgrad disk for my windows 98 at a chirch sail and the thing is it did not come with the cirtificate of authanticit that has the key. so if some one has the key can they send me the 25 #'s and or letters? so that i can upgrade my 98!

@manwithnouthingtodo google around for product keys. And then, if windows xp allows you to install "Windows Advantage Notification Tool" update, uncheck it because its gna annoy u

@infinitypark003 i did google it and found the key but sadly my 98 computer said after i typed it in "The Product ID witch you entered is Invalid Please try again" so im thinking that i deeded the original key dut like i said i don't have the key so i don't know what to do...

Do Not pay attention to this video it makes SEVERAL MISTAKES

Before you select the hard disk to install the new OS you must delete all partions until it remains ONE partion named UNPARTIONED SPACE.

Then the AVG makes the pc to boot longer.

And you just need 2GB to install the xp and 600MB of Free Space

If you google FORMAT PC you´ll see i´m right.

@thecableguy0000, no! you can't start setup using 48 MB of RAM. You need at least 64 MB of RAM to start windows setup.
