This is the first test of wood carving on my new cnc router. The carved material is beech, the mill bits used were 1/4" flat bottom wood end-mill for roughing and contouring, and 1/4" ballnose mill for finishing. The model is one of the nice free models from http://www.vectorart3d.com/machinist_free/ scaled to 220x180x10 mm. There is a mistake on the finishing part, visible on the far-right corner: I didn't set correctly the tool height - the first cut is the deepest :). However, the finished part looks fantastic, even with the big dimension finishing bit we were using.
