No, that was a complement! The graphics are amazing for 2006, that's what I'm saying. And yes, I could make my own game engine, but maybe not as good as this one.

XNA seems great, but I don't want to alienate Linux users, and I don't feel like using Visual Studio instead of CodeBlocks. :(

Yeah, Oblivion didn't have that immersive feel, and Morrowind also had better spells and enchantments. I felt epic in Morrowind but fail in Oblivion... until I added mods, of course.

You don't need to use Python. It is just a scripting language. cplusplus dot c0m is a good C++ tutorial site, but if you want to get into game development fast, use C# and XNA.

Thanks. Yes, I used C++ for this - however I also used Python for high level scripting.
