@jbutton113 oh he was, he was.

if this hadnt of happened mclaren would of won ALL 16 RACES that year :O
-
I bet Schlesser was popular with the Tifosi that day.

Schlesser's right side tires were in the dirt, he was out of control and harder braking would turn him more into Senna. But Senna should have left himself more room. It was a totally avoidable racing accident.

thats one of the dumbest overtakes iv ever seen, epic fail!!!
-
Rofl. Schlesser tries to let Senna past and Senna still hits him. I reckon he thought it was still Mansell in the Williams. Another dumb move from an impetuous dangerous driver.

I think it's JLS's fault, he was way ahead of Senna from what we can see in the video, he locked his brakes into the chicane to try to make way for Senna, but you don't make way while entering a chicane or else that's what would happen, you make way either before the chicane or after the chicane, JLS was way in front of Senna before the chicane so he should have waited until after the chicane to make way and he wouldn't have delayed Senna after this!
It's difficult to tell from that brief clip if Schlesser was trying to let Senna through. Either way, Ayrton could have been more circumspect and pass the rookie after the chicane. I don't think it was anyone's fault, just an accident.

well what could Jean-Louis do? he had already allowed Senna past.. really at that stage of the race and with Prost out already, Senna needn't pushed so hard.. oh well i guess with Enzo Ferrari's then-recent passing, an emotional Ferrari 1-2 win was actually meant to be..
