This is a video tribute to Richard "Rick" Wright.
He died today, but he won't be forgot soon.
R.I.P.

The music is "The violent sequence" from the zabriskie point soundtrack (the album is "The Zabriskie Point Session").
This became "Us and them" a few years later".

Photos are taken from the web.

  • how can i find this piano version of us and them ????? amazing !

  • @ccarquitectos As I said, it's from the Zabriskie Point Session. Google this: "the zabriskie point session megaupload filmsdown" (without double quotes) and it's the first result. Enjoy.

  • who is this?

  • he's a member of the pink floyd (don't you know them? Go get "The Dark Side of The Moon" album and listen to it), who died a few months ago

  • Adoro esta canción... es una de las más bonitas que he escuchado en mi vida... me llena el alma de paz y tranquilidad.

  • I know what you mean, I feel the same too.

It's kinda sad though, I usually feel it saying something like "relax, nothing will last, so everything is fine."

A bit nihilist, if you want. But it's soothing for my spirit.

  • People may look at Floyd and say, "oh yeah Waters and Gilmour are great together". They mostly forget about Wright, Mason, and Barrett. Remember without Wright, the Dark Side of the Moon would not be what it is today. R.I.P. Rick. We miss you dearly.

  • He looks a little bit like Jesus with the beard and hair.

  • I didnt really know who Rick was til about that time.At first I thought he was the bassist standing next to Gilmour in the Learning to Fly promo or the saxiphonist with the long mullet.I found out that he was the keyboardist and what a greatstyle he had.I finally saw what he looked like.I was mad to find out that Roger had kicked him out but was glad he was back with the remaining Floyd.Thought he had a great voice too.Songs like Paintbox,Time,Stay. Safe Journey Rick, Wherever You Are!!!!

  • I never had really heard of Pink Floyd til about 1980 when Brick part 2 came out as a single.I was 12 at the time .I had probably heard Dark side on the FM in the 70's but didnt know who it was playing.About 1984 when I got into classic rock on wkls 96 rock, I heard more of Floyds songs.I really got into Floyd in 1987 when Momentary came out.I started buying all of the Floyds albums then.

  • i see this video and it makes me cry :(

  • Fuckkk...Wright was my favorite :( I still cant get over it.

  • Is there any footage of the opera he was working on with Roger just before the end?

  • bye wright....see you on the dark side of the moon RIP

  • He's plating with Syd in the great gig in the sky now. God rest their souls. It is people like them that make the world a nice place. Now there are not very many people like them left.
