In this episode, we'll combat the stuttery mess of wrongly imported or ingested interlaced video footage by swapping the field order with the help of the Matte Key real-time effect. Buckle up, this one's going to get geeky! And don't forget to check out the show notes for more.

  • @MainframeRecordings I know your post was 8 months ago :D but it's easier to map the field step buttons to your KB. I have mine as shift+arrow keys. No need for CC mode

  • That guy makes stuffs I didn't really understood in three years of cinema school crystal clear in ten minutes. Best tutorials online. I read you just got a job, congrats btw, but please, please find some time to keep them coming !

  • Another useful hint regarding fields in avid is, that you can actually display the seperate fields in color correction mode. stepping through the footage with eg. cursor will display filds not frames and make detecting problems easier with slowly moving objects, especially if you don't have a preview monitor connected.

  • Thanks for the tutXD

  • Thanks alot.. I love ur tutorials.. Keep them coming...
