@MainframeRecordings I know your post was 8 months ago :D but it's easier to map the field step buttons to your KB. I have mine as shift+arrow keys. No need for CC mode

Another useful hint regarding fields in avid is, that you can actually display the seperate fields in color correction mode. stepping through the footage with eg. cursor will display filds not frames and make detecting problems easier with slowly moving objects, especially if you don't have a preview monitor connected.
