MUST SEE! Amtrak 79 Drops off NCDOT 1755 Raleigh, NC 8/29/08

After NCDOT F59PHI 1755 towed 80 to Washington yesterday, 79 brought it back to NC. It was dropped off during the Raleigh station stop, so I went down to see it.

@MrCburger no, 1755 had run north as rescue power, and they were returning it to NCDOT

I don't know why they did not put 1755 on the point then it could have just droped and went over to CSX yard

@howardkevinm My point was that the title is very misleading and I'm sure that's the only way it could possibly have drawn 15,000 + views after 3 years. I would think that even for train buffs, this is anything BUT a must see video!

Just a guess, but perhaps 1755 was initially pulling the train, with 42 added at some later point. Two things may have prevented a switch before now - scheduling or a choice based on this being 1755's destination.
