During Morpheel's 2nd phase, you can skip Morpheel throwing you off his back. To do this, put on iron boots before clawshotting him. After striking him with your sword 4 times, go to the item screen and take off iron boots. This immediately gets you off Morpheel. Put iron boots back on, sink to the bottom, use a water bomb to refill your air gauge. Afterwards, swim upward as quickly as possible, get above Morpheel, put iron boots on, clawshot Morpheel, and strike with your sword 4 times again. After the 4th strike, go to item screen, take off iron boots, exit the item screen and immediately press Z to prompt Midna. After prompting Midna, clawshot Morpheel once more and do the finishing blow.

Prompting Midna seems necessary. Everytime I've tried to do this without prompting Midna, I'm too far behind Morpheel to clawshot him. Prompting Midna stops the momentum of getting pushed back when taking off iron boots.

  • Morpheel looks awesome, but he's a pathetic fight. Can he even damage you in his second phase?

  • @CinnabonChan Morpheel sometimes does that suction attack in 2nd phase. That's about it though.

  • You should seriously reconsider speedrunning this game. Listen to what others have said before, so what if you cannot master a few segments? Practice until you are safe and sound. This video is a proof that if you have the motivation and determination, you can probably achieve anything you want. Please speedrun it.

  • I have tried mastering certain parts of the game. The problem is that there are parts where I'm really slow at. I just cannot get goat herding down quickly for some reason. Clipping the Ordon gate I can't do quickly. LJA in chandelier room in Arbiter's Grounds I can't even get to work most of the time. Puppet Zelda battle I'm terrible at. If I can master those parts, then I might speedrun the game. The problem is that no matter how much I practice, I'm still not fast enough.

  • @logitechSDAZ What a pity... I was so excited to fight him, and then I was like...

is that it? I didn't even take any damage...

  • Wow and my comment was how old?

    Over one year...

    Look up now...

    Wow...

  • not enough air

  • That's why I started it speedrunning, I just tried to think by myself the thing I do right ore wrong, try to do it good, master it and now I'm pro in Zelda.

  • Well, the erding isn't a problem, just start easely and try to encloser it so much to find out what your limit is and master that, same with clipping, I think you can put the stone good, and try to find out what direction you need to get to get it the gate and ofcourse master it. :P And about LJA in chandlier room, just try to copy it EXACTLY as in the speed runs you see , Puppet Zelda is random in cycles and just stand close to her for spin attack, right time is necesary, try it you get it :P .

  • You couldn't swim with a waterbomb first, but logi found out you can by take off your iron boots before the bomb is pulled out and voila! You can refill your air gauge.

  • Noob this is ment for not having the zora armor by skipping it. Your just a noob. I bet you don't even know why logi makes a strategy to fight morpheel without zora armor.
