Wicked the Musical {Try-out to Current Show} Music Changes

A compilation of the dance sequences and scene transitions of Wicked that have been changed. And a couple that haven't.

The most obvious ones are probably the ones occurred when Which Way is the Party was replaced with Dancing Through Life.

I think they changed Fiyero's Entrance music from "What is this Feeling" to "The Wizard and I" because with that much vamping, someone in the orchestra was going to have a heart attack. XD

The Ballroom dance sequence scene transition music (two for one, haha) is the same tune as 'No One Mourns the Wicked'

The Elphie dance music now is beautiful <3 So glad they changed it!!! The orchestra sounds so different in these recordings :P I'm used to the British orchestra which I think is bigger. LOVE IT THOUGH!! I have some stuff for trade if you're interested x

Not to mention it gives us an insight into his life before wicked and why he was what is was like in the DTL scene - I mean how much of a rubbish childhood would you have to have to believe love wasn't real? The reason they cut it I believe is because it links to a scene earlier in the SF version where they are having a conversation theoretically about his and Galinda's relationship but really about his and Elphies and he says it. I guess they thought the line didn't fit when the scene was cut

The boy who was certain that love isnt real." i LOVED that line! it shows how much Fiyero had been affected by having Elphie in his life! i used to think it was cute, but after educating myself, i found the scarecrow line incredibly cheesy! i wish they would've kept that version, tho! and no, that video is not on youtube any longer.believe me, i scoured for it, since the previous lyrics were sung by both david burnham and NLB

@camprocker14 I remember that! I liked that video, don't know if it's still on here though. I always prefered Fiyero's 'love isn't real line' than the other two because it is ridiculously cute and just better than a cheesy scarecrow reference or the very bookverse workshop version which doesn't quite fit the alaym scene now.

dont know if you know, but there used to be a video here on youtube that chronicled the changes made in fiyero's solo in ALAYM, lyric-wise, i mean. sorry, but this reminded me of that. anyway, this is great! love hearing all the changes made, even though i would've liked it if they kept the lion cub sequence the same. it just sounds cooler.
