I meant "we had them for thirty years." not "we had then."

It is better for the enviroment. The power it takes for you to read over the news on the computer for thirty minutes is greater than the amount of trees that are used for newspaper. And the reason that no one cared about VHS's being extinct is because we had then for thirty years. Newspaper has been around since the Romans.

the media should just become a fourth part of government and get paid for by taxpayers because it benefits everyone to be well informed and balances the other branches of government.

This video is over one year old now and newspapers are the print journalism field is still declining. As a journalism major, this is very saddening because I was looking forward to working in this fast-pace enviornment. In school, they are teaching different techniques, such as online publications. But the media is constantly changing. What happens when this medium dies down?
So CNN gets two "guests" who are both pro-newspaper?

Because 2/3 of YouTube would be making some stink about 'free exchange of information' Good luck getting that by teh interwebz.
