@WHIREAS what i would agree with is that i was dim enough to talk about god blessing the hands and minds of people able to improve peoples lives, while not mentioning the people with the conditions themselves. and i also recognise that it looks like i am saying that nature is responsible for errors while god takes credit for the good people do. i WAS only attempting to show appreciation for the good people do. crikey.

@123jsbach Wow, that is some powerful fucking irony. Retard.

Just so heartwarming. I'm off to visit and see how to donate.

I know it sounds corny, but I can't help but smile when I think about those 8 lucky children. So what's my point? It's simple: YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Even with the stresses of work from my other classes and my job, I managed to find the time to help plan a fundraising event and set-up an online donation webpage. You need to put yourself out there, talk to people, and volunteer if you want to make a difference for these children. If I, a 22-year-old guy can do it, you can too.

I am a student at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, and this semester, I collaborated with a group of students in a marketing class to raise money for Operation Smile. Our initial goal at the beginning of the semester was to raise 8 surgeries (which would cost $1,920). After 3 months of hard-work, smart planning, and a little luck, my group of 5 college-aged students managed to raise $2,036! Enough for 8.4 surgeries to be exact!
