@Lexothphia Yeah but, just do a google on: Rogers DB101 which was launched in 1996 and which these B&W are. The drives are Kevlar bought off the shelf as with the unknown tweeters, even at £1900 the price is outrageous.

@Lexothphia If you want to get a new amp , I wouldn't bother with Naim , I would look at the Denon 2010 or Croft Intergrated at £1700. A well built intergrated has shorter signal paths & the pre/power sections are separated from the inside. I used to have a Meridian 557 Power/501 pre amp. The power amp broke down & was too expensive to repair so I purchased Denon 1510 (Hi Fi Choice Amp 2010). Guess what sounds better? Denon is built like a tank

@kingofpunk1977 thats just a marketing scam.£400 stands no way, i mean they are nice but from what i heard the difference between stands in my opinion were not worth it. for £1900 they are worth every penny. However i will be going for the 805d eventually. But that will require an amplifier updrage from the naim 5i to the amp seperates.

@Lexothphia £1900 including the special stands that you must have?

@kingofpunk1977 quite a few shops sell them for £1900.

I'm amazed! A speaker review comments list where somebody hasn't said by Bose instead. Makes me laugh everytime I read that.

These have somewhat screechy hight, they're extremely precise, but the bass i lacking quite badly compared to other B&W speakers or other speakers of the same size for that matter - A subwoofer will be a must for most genres

stay away from ALL port speakers,rule # 11 ,, unless it,s a ProAc

Is the main drive the same 5" kevler cone which can be had online for 7 quid each? I think it could be... The tweeter is unknown, and the x-over allots the bandwidth and as they are small boxes the tweeter does the hard work, and Theile small parameters limit it's abilites. And Tom is just spewing marketing spiel without challenge. Two and half grand and it has the look of a wooden toaster, But no doubt a lottery winner who knows no better will fall for it......
