Conservative Roundtable, hosted by Howard Phillips, welcomes Bill Wilson, of the National Council of Bible Curriculum, who presents his organization's platform for an acceptable, approvable Bible Curriculum for use in public schools. The program also features the history of the public education program and the original context of the Establishment of Religion Clause to the First Amendment.

The Bible is so much a part of our history and culture that to deprive students of such a major part of our history is outrageous. The agenda of those who advocate banning the Bible is often to promote athiesm, materialism and statism.

This is an edition of Conservative Roundtable, the nationally broadcast conservative television program hosted by Howard Phillips, and produced by The Conservative Caucus.

  • If I were teaching the class, I'd have each student make his own Jefferson's Bible, where he would edit all of the passages which he thought "unreasonable." And then the students would compare eachother's Bible and explain why they left certain parts in and why they edited parts out.

  • Considering how far gone the public schools are, I think it would be better to remove your children from the public school s rather than to return the Bible to the Public schools. It's too far gone!

  • @WyattBush What does evolution amount too as far as inventions go. does it solve power supply or anything significant like that, I'll have you know evolution is a false religion in its own form and when you apply real science to it you'll find it is beyond flawed and is a pathetic failure of existance.

  • @mathgeek37 yeah, makes it hard to do whats right, thats why the bible says, you can't serve two masters, you can't serve god and mammon (money) if you want to live well, if you want to have money, then you can't follow god, the bible says A LOT about that subject.

  • No it wouldn't. It would be the downfall of the thugs who run the teacher's unions. It would be good for America.

  • Really, how many of those Christian parents are teachers????

If this was occurring, why aren't these teachers leaving the public districts in droves?

The reasons most people leave the profession is because the BS they have to deal with taxes them to their limits.

  • I have been a public school there for 4 years now and I find that the history teacher here doesn't use the Bible, or the Communist Manifest, or the Kinsey Report, or any other books like that to teach his classes. Where are you getting these ideas? From a trench veteran like myself and an atheist mind you, the majority of my fellow teachers believe in God and attend church on a regular basis. In fact, I am great friends with the diehard Catholic on our staff.

  • theese guys are Poloticians NOT scintists. What gives them the right to qustion evolution.

  • close down all public schools!? that would be the downfall of America.
