Why Were You Crying

I recorded this in my barraks room at Naval Air Station Fallon, NV using the webcam and mic on my laptop so the quality is notably lacking. I'm still hashing out the lyrics so criticism is welcome.

It's been 2 days, 10 hours and thriteen minutes,
Since you hung up the phone.
And it's been an age, and eon, an epoch,
That I've been sitting here all alone.
Not much has changed except how little is left in this bottle,
And I guess now I know you're not calling back.
I should be ashame to even think of calling,
But I ran out of pride before I ran out of Jack
And I've got some questions to ask

Why were you crying when you said goodbye?
You're the one who's leaving me, so why were the tears in your eyes?
And if you're so sorry to leave me this way
Why don't you just stay?

I know that I'm not perfect and I guess now you know I never will be
I've made mistakes and it's hard to forgive them but that's not the reason you want to leave.
I think you know that I'll always love you and I think that you still have love for me
But right now your scared that someday I'll hurt you and thats just no reason to give up on our dreams
but if I'm mistaken, then tell me
