This guy has the dog inside Starbucks, off its leash, both a health code violation and a violation of Miami Beach leash laws. A FIREMAN and a lifeguard are standing in line 8 feet in front of it, seemingly oblivious to it (not that I'd expect them to take action-.

  • just curious... but what about the dog sitting next to his owner in line bothers you so much?

  • @LionessCub1

    1. It's a health code violation.

    2. It's a leash law violation. Fortunately nobody antagonized the dog, and it wasn't hungry or thirsty, and nobody was allergic to it. Had any of these things occurred, one or more people would have probably needed medical attention and Starbuck's would have been sued for megabucks. As a Starbuck's stockholder at the time (I've since sold it), that would have affected my wallet.

  • Why would you want a lifeguard to start playing "lawman" inside a place of business? Would you like the lifeguards to go into bars and liquor stores checking I.D. cards too?

  • not the lifeguard, the cop in line to his left.

  • ok, the funny looking guy on the right is a lifeguard and the extremely hansom man to his left works for the Fire Department and is not a police officer.

  • Are you sure? That looks like a police uniform to me, but judging from your use of adjectives, I'd guess you're the one wearing it, so you'd know better than I.

  • You should use a spell-checker--you just described yourself as a horse-drawn carriage.

  • Could be a helper or seeing eye dog (in training) though.

  • @slferentz and yes dogs training to be aid dogs are allowed inside establishments as part of their training program so their trainers can be assured that they are used to and not bothered by these areas.

  • Unbelievable.Another mutt owner with a sense of entitlement.

  • Are dogs in training allowed inside restaurants with their trainers? I thought they had to be with the handicapped individual whom they assist, even after they're certified.
