Before the 2009 season, ESPN the Magazine writer David Murray channeled his inner George Plimpton and spent nine weeks in-uniform as backup QB with the Chicago Force, a women's tackle football team. What began as intense research for a story, soon became a quest to realize the ultimate boyhood dream: complete just one slant pass in a non-backyard game.
