Pál Fejös, director

dur. 69 minutes

- This is a very strange and experimental scene from Lonesome, a silent film from 1928 starring Barbara Kent and Glenn Tyron. Here the two lovers live their workday through a montage of clocks and machines with increasing intensity.

Live musical accompaniment composed and improvised by Trevor Gureckis, piano; and Caroline Shaw, violin.

Premiere: April 18th, 2008 as part of the Cinema at the Whitney film series at the Whitney Humanities Center at Yale University.

  • Wow, man! Looks and sounds great! Amazing to see a few minutes from this film. I heard about it so much, but I live too far away from any places they may ever screen it.

I'd love to see it full...
