Origin of God? - Douglas Adams

Theists often argue that the fact that a belief in God arises in almost every culture independently is evidence FOR his existence.
The point is to show that whether God existed, or didn't the belief in God would still exist, and thus the claim that the universal existence of belief is evidence of existence is a fallacy.

It's funny. He predicts an end for man of "no flesh" in a future date just like the BIble.

We won't make it to "no flesh" because written in 520 B.C. or at least long before Jesus according to the Dead Sea Scrolls God wrote Zechariah 12:10 "In that day they shall look upon me whom they pierced & shall mourn as if for their only son." This person is identified even clearer in Zechariah 12:8 from a God who is loath to share His glory in this way, "In that day the house of David will be like God."
