H&R .223 break action suppressed

Five years ago got h&r stainless 223 .Could not get it to group at all.Tried four different factory loads ,three of my best hand loads nothing would shoot well enough to zero it in.6"groups at 100yds.also the action would open when fired.I have never seen one of these rifles ever impress me yet Will never own one again.I will not trust reviews again. I have never seen these great groups people say they get on these videos.It makes me wonder.

You got a bad rifle then. I've got another video up with this rifle where I get a head shot on a groundhog at 200 yards. I own 3 of these rifles in .223, .22 hornet and the 1871 H&R buffalo rifle in 45-70. I can drive nails with the 45-70 at 100 yards iron sights. I've never heard a bad thing about these rifles. You must have had a lemon.

what kinda groups do you get with that at 100 yards?

At 100 you can hit a quarter with no problem. At 200 yards I can hit a groundhog's head every time. I've never taken my calipers out and checked the exact grouping but it's damn accurate.

Yeah. Apparantly he doesn't like taking 'lethality' of a firearm into consideration, or the painful truth that not every gun owner is a starched shirt wearing, family loving good guy. :/

What i dont like is that he called me a troll for it, and completely ignored the 40 others who were trolling ME on his vids lol.

can you swap out barrels on these? you know use the same receiver and just change the barrel when you want a different caliber? or do they not bolt back up right?

I had two of these guns 45-70 ultra hunter and 223 stainless ,owned two ,had two bad ones.also two of my friends had 223 heavy barrel and the other one was 22-250 No matter what they tried they couldn't reproduce any good groups over again .I'm glad you got some good rifles. So far I have owned two and had to bad ones.Thanks.

What type of rail does the gun have?  Does it need weaver style rings?
