    Just because he is a Trooper, does NOT mean he is the ranking officer or make him have any more control over the situation. The only difference is they have different jurisdictions geographically and legally. They are all law enforcement officers just at different government levels.

    State Police does not have any greater authority, different jurisdictions only.. One does not trump the other.
